In this article, we unveil the mystery surrounding dreaming of falling, flying and being naked.
Dreaming of falling
This dream can take up other forms such as drowning or sinking in quicksand. This dream generally represents a loss of control that you may be currently experiencing in your life.
You took a big risk, quit your job, left your city, etc. but you don’t know where this is going to take you. So you feel that you’ve lost control and you dream that you are falling off a cliff or a high-rise building.
You may also see this dream if you feel that you are going through a bad phase in your life to the extent that you believe you’ve fallen down. If you are finding it hard to get back on your feet in the dream, then it means you are finding it hard to get back on your feet in real life too!
This dream can also mean that a trusted friend has let you down or disappointed you in some way. If you believe that you lack social support and mentors, that is also a recipe for this kind of dream.
The emotion of guilt can also induce the dream of falling. If you believe committed too many sins or violated many of your values then you might see that you are falling in your dream. This is because many of us have been taught that a sin committed by Adam and Eve led to their fall.
Dreaming of flying
Dreaming of flying means that you are satisfied with your current life. If you dream that you are flying above others it means that you believe your current life is better than everyone else’s.
While flying if you find that you are in control of your flight, then this means you believe you are in control of your destiny. If, however, you find it difficult to control your flight in the dream then this means you believe your destiny is not in your hands.
Dreaming that you are flying can also mean that you have freed yourself from something that was weighing you down. It may be anything- a limiting belief, an obnoxious partner, a stressful job or even an ideology.
Dreaming about being naked
Nakedness is usually associated with the emotion of shame. If you did a shameful act, then you might see this kind of a dream. Also, you might see this dream if you feel that you’ve been exposed or if you fear that you’ll be exposed in some way.
For example, if you feel insecure about some aspect of your personality and you do your best to hide it from others, then dreaming that you are naked reflects your fear that people will find out this weakness that you’re hiding.
You might also get this dream if you believe that people will come to know about your secret intentions or hidden plans. This represents a sense of ‘getting exposed’.
Many bachelors dream that they are naked in public after they have attended a wedding in which a friend or a relative of nearly the same age gets married. This is because they think it is shameful for them not to have found a partner yet.
Not all people associate nakedness with ‘shame’ or ‘getting exposed’. For them, it can mean freedom or happiness too. Many tribes don’t have any problems with nakedness. So a member of such a tribe who dreams that he’s naked will have different meaning based on his own belief system.
